When is a new version of a process model available after it is published?

A new version of a process model becomes available as soon as the next process instance starts. This is because Appian uses a versioning system for process models. When a process model is published, it does not affect any currently running instances of that process. Only the next new instance of the process will utilize the newly published version, ensuring that existing instances continue to operate under the version they were initiated with.

This design allows for stability and reliability in process execution, ensuring that changes do not disrupt processes that are already in progress.
